Like windows 7, Windows 8 comes with the whole potential of IIS features, like his “server brother” – server 2012. While windows servers are configured from “Add Roles and Features”, windows desktops IIS is configured through “Turn windows features on or off”

  1. Click the Windows button
  2. Type: Turn windows features on or off
  3. Navigate to: Internet Information Services –> world Wide Web services –> Application Development Features
  4. Select “Websocket Protocol” + OK

That’s it!
